The experiential creativity and entrepreneurship course for secondary schools is aimed at discovering the strengths, team roles and developing the creativity and entrepreneurship of secondary school student of the Zlín Region.
The aim of the course is to help students develop creativity, initiative and entrepreneurship – key competences for the 21st century. In the course, students will look for ideas to “do something”, will be proactive, and then they will be able to work with this idea further. The course is intended for secondary schools in the Zlín Region and works with topics such as discovering business opportunities, using personal talents for self-employment, quality of life in the region, etc.
The course is based on the principles of experiential pedagogy. It draws the participant into the story and fixes developmental experiences by evoking emotions. The experience gained and realized in teaching is transferred to use in ordinary school and out-of-school life. The course contains a wide range of self-experience techniques primarily used for self-knowledge and self-reflection, through which the participant learns to discover and use his potential while working for his surroundings – whether commercially or non-profit oriented.
The course was created by the Technology Innovation Center in cooperation with the Zlín Region. In the 2021-2022 school year it was pilot tested in three secondary schools in the Zlín Region and in the 2022/2023 school year it was implemented in six secondary schools in the Zlín Region.
